Executive Summary
The new Matrix42 default branding has been updated to the self-service (ESS). By default, the favicon, customer logo (on the top-left corner), and background image are changed and follow Matrix42 branding. Also, logos on the admin side have been updated.
In some cases, it would be beneficial if help texts were visible when end users start providing text to the text field. Now, in ESS admin, there is a possibility to configure help text to be visible below the field instead of in the field.
Administrators can now add internal descriptions for service items on the admin side to describe, e.g., usage of the item or support area.
This version supports the following languages:
Czech, Croatian, Danish, English (GB & US), Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
The following browsers are supported:
- Google Chrome (131.0 or newer)
- Microsoft Edge (131.0 or newer)
- Mozilla Firefox (133.0 or newer)
- Mozilla Firefox ESR (128.5.esr)
- Safari (18.0 or newer)
The only supported database for this release is PostgreSQL version 15.
Note
This version of Efecte Self-Service requires:
Efecte Identity Management version 2020.3.0 or newer.
Efecte Service Management version 2025.1.0 or newer.
ESS doesn't have anymore support for Dutch language starting release 2025.1 onwards.

ESS-20294 Show help texts below the field
Release note
Administrator can configure the location of the help text for the additional information field. If the configuration option on the Additional information checkbox is selected, the help text will be displayed outside the field and directly below the additional information input field.
ESS-20412 Admin notes on Service Items and Categories
Release note
Administrator can add a free text note to each service item and category describing its purpose. Note that the value will be only stored and handled in the ESS and not sent to the ESM. Note also, the value is only visible to ESS admins.
ESS-16608 Admin Search for exporting

While exporting services, admin can now filter the services or domains. Note that some browsers might need pressing tab or enter to activate filtering.
ESS-20362 Make favicon icon configurable
Release note
Administrator can upload custom favicon icon to make self-service look more customer branded. Favicon can be updated on the same page as updating background image and customer logo.
ESS-20435 Introduce new property pollNewIncidentEnabled
Release note
New property introduced to tracking connector: "pollNewIncidentEnabled". If set to false, it does not fetch incidents with empty uuid (the ones that are created in ESM and not in ESS)
