Visual Analyzer in ESM
The Visual Analyzer is a feature that provides a graphical representation of the relationships and references between data cards. This visualization can significantly enhance understanding of the interconnectedness and potential impact of different data sets.
To use the Visual Analyzer:
- Open the Data Card: To start, open the data card you wish to analyze and click on "More," then choose “Visual Analyzer.” Upon opening, the Visual Analyzer will show the selected data card at the center with all its references.
- Expand References: Double-clicking on any node (data card) will display further references connected to it, if available.
- Reposition Nodes: Click and drag any node to rearrange the layout to your preference, making it easier to view the connections.
- Zoom and Fit: Use the zoom option to look at details or 'fit to window' for an overview of the entire graph.
- Select Nodes: The 'Select' button can be used to draw a frame around the nodes you want to focus on.
- Refresh Layout: Clicking the 'Refresh' button will rearrange the nodes to their default layout or update the view with any recent changes.
- Reset View: The 'Reset' button will return the Visual Analyzer to its original starting view.
- Open Selected Nodes: If you need to delve deeper into a particular node, use the 'Open selected' button to access the data card.
- Toggle Extend: The 'Toggle extend' button will change the display to show more or less detail for each node.
- Adjust Visible Data: Uncheck or check the 'Show' checkboxes to remove or display certain parts of the visual map.
- Show Hidden Data Cards: If you're looking to include data cards that are not immediately visible, such as archived ones, you can do so with the 'Show hidden data cards' button.
