Efecte Self-service Portal (ESS) 2023.2 Release Notes
Executive Summary
The Efecte Self-Service Portal 2023.2 release further improves the usability and stability of the product. Improvements in the user interface allow more intuitive and non-disruptive work for end users and administrators alike.
User interface texts were added to the ESS support channel status configuration to help administrators to see where ESS statuses are linked on the ESM side.
This version supports the following languages:
Bulgarian, Czech, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, English (GB & US), Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish
This version supports the following browsers:
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox ESR
- Google Chrome 50 or newer
- Safari 10 or newer
The only supported database for this release is PostgreSQL version 15.

Improvements
ESS-18513 UI texts for hard-coded Self-service statuses
- New help texts are included in support channel status configuration. The help texts now show the underlying system status, and do not affect any existing status configuration. Additionally, help texts for showing which statuses are used with Reopen and Rating features are now included.
Bug fixes
ESS-17150 CP-6238: Browser cache needs to be emptied always after upgrade
- Fix for an issue where browser cache needs to be cleared after version upgrades. The cache control will be changed in this release, and will take effect only after the next release. This means that after the 2023.2 release, there is still a need for clearing the cache if you have experienced the problem before. The fix will help in the next release upgrade (2023.3).
