Exporting and Importing Support Domains in ESS

Exporting Existing Support Domain

Support domains can be exported and imported between tenants in the same way as services.

  1. Log in as an administrator to the admin view of the tenant with existing domains.
  2. Select Settings > Export.
  3. Transfer domains you want to export to the Selected domains field.
  4. Click Export.

A YAML file is created, and you can save it to a location of your choice. This file can include one or multiple support domains.

Note: A separate YAML file is created when exporting service offerings or domains.

Importing Support Domains to a New Tenant

When importing the YAML file, all its support domains are imported. Imported domains are unpublished, and they do not have a category image nor a support channel assigned.

  1. Log in to the admin view of the target tenant.
  2. Select Support > Add > Services from File.
  3. Click Select file and locate the YAML file you want to import. When the file is selected, you will see the number of services to be imported.
  4. Confirm the import by clicking Yes.
  5. Assign a support channel and publish the imported domains.


Additional Information:
YAML files with service offerings and domains can be combined into one YAML file if necessary. When importing a combined YAML file on the Services tab, only service offerings are imported, and only domains on the Support tab.
