GUI Texts

Following GUI texts can be modified:

• View Presentation texts - Shows texts used in ESM in different languages. These texts are used in most buttons and other main functionalities of the UI, but not in template (data card) structures.
• Add Presentation text - Adds a new presentation text. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.
•  Get Presentation Texts as XML - Loads texts as XML. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.
• Import Presentation Texts - Imports presentation texts. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.

Action Mappings

Following action mappings are available:

• View Action Mappings - conteShows action mappings. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.
• Add one Mapping - Adds an action mapping. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.
• Get Mappings as XML - Loads mappings as XML. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.
• Import Mappings - Imports action mappings. Needed only by Efecte consultants, in few customer environments.

Other actions

List of other actions available:

• Update data card names - If a primary attribute has been changed or data cards have been updated directly in the database, data card names may differ from the primary attribute value. This action updates the names for selected data cards.
• Generate new password encryption key - This generates a new password encryption key and converts all the passwords so that they use the new key. This improves security if the default key was used.
• Generate new data encryption key - This generates a new data encryption key and converts all the data so that they use the new key. This improves security if the default key was used.
• Reload Permissions - This reloads user permissions. If user permissions are changed directly in the database, this action updates the caches.
• Clear Persistent Object Caches - If any cached objects are changed in the database, this action updates the caches.
• SAM: Export software.xml for Inspector - Generates software.xml file according on software asset management (SAM) data cards of the system.
• SAM: Export MSI data cards xml - Generates data card xml file containing monitored software installations. The file can be imported manually to ESM. This helps to implement SAM solution on an existing ESM system.
