Announcements
Manage announcements, which are shown on home page as modal window and top right corner Self-Service Portal. Announcements themselves are handled as data cards in ESM.
How the announcements are displayed in ESS2:


Major features:
- Quick filter - Announcements can be filtered by using the “Quick filter” field.
- Announcements field:
- Subject - Subject of the announcements.
- Published - Publishing date and time.
- Expected Resolution - Expected date and time for the when issue is expected to be solved. Optional attribute.
- Announcement - Announcement itself. Can be clicked to show the content of the announcement.
If the user has not opened some of the announcements (to detail view), those announcements are bolded (unread), and the amount of unread announcements is indicated with number indicator (badge) on the announcements-icon.
Settings

The Announcements-settings have the following fields:

| Enable Announcements | Enabled / Disabled | Turn the announcements visible / invisible in the Self-Service Portal. Note that turning the announcements off / invisible, does not turn the feature off. |
| Template | Service Announcements | Template used for announcements. Note that changing the template will reset the announcement's attribute mappings. |
| Subject | Subject | The Subject attribute of the announcement. Datatype: String-value. |
| Message | Message | Message attribute for the announcement. Datatype: Text-value. Rich-text decorated text is supported. |
| Date published | Date published | The attribute for defining the publishing time of the announcement. This is also displayed on the announcement. Datatype: Date & time |
| Expiry date | Expiry date | The attribute for defining the when the announcement expires. After the announcement expires, it will be no longer visible in the ESS2 UI. Datatype: Date & time. |
| Expected resolution | Expected Resolution | The attribute for displaying an estimate for when the issue will be solved. Datatype: Date & time. |
