EFECTE PROVISIONING ENGINE RELEASE NOTES 2023.1.0 

Efecte Provisioning Engine is one of the Efecte Cloud components. It provides multiple different provisioning functions to Efecte solutions, build on top of Efecte Service Management Platform.

Executive summary 

New provisioning capabilities

The EPE 2023.1.0 release introduces capability to change local user password and create local users (normal, root, read) to ESM via workflow orchestration node. This new provisioning feature allows the creation of local users in mass import or for example, the possibility to create local users through the Efecte Self Service portal. When creating a user, it is also possible to set a role or roles for the user.

Efecte Provisioning Engine is now able to read (scheduled) and write (event-based) data from and to 389 LDAP Directory Server.

• Run provisioning task
• Verify Group
• Verify User

New workflow activities

Efecte Provisioning Engine (EPE) introduces two new workflow activities: Update custom object and Delete custom object. These new activities saves time from admin users by allowing the update and deletion of user contact objects to AD and Azure, and also for example computers, application and printers.

This feature is used on the productized HR connector to read data from HR systems (xml, JSON, CSV).

EFECTE SECURE ACCESS RELEASE NOTES 2023.1.0

Efecte Secure Access (ESA) is an authentication component for the Efecte platform. ESA provides authentication & authorization capabilities to the Efecte platform, including Efecte Self-Service and Efecte Service Management.

This release introduces three new authentication methods to the ESA product

• Support for OTP & Bank ID Authentication
• HAKA Authentication

Easier access to logs

ESA and EPE logs can be downloaded from ESM UI. This feature reduces the need for host access when configuring ESA and EPE. It speeds up the process of finding errors and makes it much easier to view logs as a Admin.

ESA language support 2.0

More language options have been added to the login screen of the Efecte Secure Access product.

Default languages are: English, Finnish, Svenska and Deutsch.

Available languages are: English US, English UK, Finnish, German, Swedish, Polish, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, French, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.

ESA Language options

New ESA server version 2.0.3

• ESA Admin console UI has significantly changed
• Login page will not change for the end-users, only ESA Administration Console is changed
• ESA Admin login page URL is changed (from domain.com/auth to domain.com/auth/admin )
• With the new ESA version, items that are already supported will continue to be supported
