Panel Groups

Use Panel Groups to group Links together under a theme, helping people navigate to the content they need. Panel group is used to group several panels under one group (for example Hardware issues, which would contain everything from workstation issues to broken phones).

Administrators can create Panel Groups in the Panel Group configuration area. Before the administrator can add any content in the Panel Group, the Panel Group needs to exist on config area.

The panel groups have their information displayed in the following columns:

Column name Example Value Explanation
Icon [icon] Icon displayed for the panel in the selection window.
Name Hardware issues Name of the panel group.
Number of Links 5 How many links are in the panel group.
Linked from Quick links Where this panel group is linked from.
Manage - Edit or delete the panel group.

To create a new panel groupo click on the "New Panel Group" button which opens up the panel group creation menu:

Type the name of the panel in the name field (required).

Click on the Add link button to open the wizard for adding new links.

Clicking the button opens the Add link wizard:

Clicking on the "Action" field opens a dropdown menu containing all possible link actions:

"Link to Product Catalog" has the following fields:

Name Yes Available Products Name of the link.
Description No List of products available for ordering Short description (60 characters or less) of what is behind the link.

"Link to URL" has the following fields:

Open in new browser tab - [Selected] If selected, link opens the URL-address in a new browser tab. If not selected, the link is opened in the current tab.

Description No This link opens the home page of Efecte Short description (60 characters or less) of what is behind the link.
 

"Link to form" has the following fields:

Clicking this open a dropdown menu of all the available forms. Selected one will be linked here.

Each action displays the icon used for the link as the last field.
