Attribute Metadata - Is Email Address
isEmailAddress metadata allows to convert the External Reference attribute name value into a mailto link to the External Reference attribute target location value.
This feature is available in E13 only.
This feature is available for EXTERNALREFERENCE attributes only.
Consider the following example:
- A template contains an attribute named
Home e-mailwhich is of typeEXTERNALREFERENCEandisEmailAddressmetadata is set totrue. - On a data card of the template in questions the
Home e-mailhas been set as follows:name:John, target location:john.smith@dot.com. - When viewing the data card
Johnis rendered as an active link to send an email to john.smith@dot.com. - When clicked, a default e-mail client window is opened with
john.smith@dot.comset as the addressee.
